• Begin payments at a designated time in the future at a higher rate
• Upon the death of the last beneficiary, the remaining balance passes to the named
• charity

Charitable Remainder Trust
Make an irrevocable contribution of cash or property to a charitable remainder trust.

• Chosen trustee pays income from the trust to designated beneficiaries for life or for a set term of years
• Trust payments may be either a fixed amount or percentage of the trust’s principal
• Immediate tax deduction for a portion of the contribution
• Upon the death of the last beneficiary or the end of the trust term, the principal is
• distributed to the named charity
