Bequests
Gifts made at the end of your lifetime allow you to
leave a legacy while providing
long-time support for your beloved parish community, Catholic school, or Catholic ministry in South Carolina. Your gift will allow God’s work in South Carolina to continue for generations to come.
Bequests are gifts to be made in the future after your lifetime and according to the instructions you leave in your will or trust. When your estate settles, your gift will be made to the Catholic Community Foundation of South Carolina to the established endowment fund or restricted fund you indicate in your will/trust or to create a new fund per the instructions in your will.
If you are planning a bequest, please let the Catholic Community Foundation of South Carolina know. The
CCFSC’s Gift Acceptance Policy governs bequests as well. We look forward to working with you and your advisors to make sure your gift is planned and administered properly for the purposes you desire.
The Catholic Heritage Society
The Catholic Heritage Society was established by Bishop Guglielmone in 2017 to honor the generosity of individuals who provide for the future of the Church with a legacy gift to a parish, school, the diocese, or the Catholic Community Foundation of South Carolina. Membership is open to anyone who has made this type of provision through a vehicle such as a will, trust, retirement plan, insurance policy, or annuity no matter the size of the gift.
By making a legacy gift commitment, members acknowledge the vital role the Catholic Church has played in their life. They also help ensure the Church’s integral role in the lives of others, thereby guaranteeing the faith and all of its blessings will be passed along to future generations.
Members receive special recognition and events through their lifetime.
