Establishing a New Fund

Minimum Donations to Start a Fund:

Individuals may establish an endowment fund with a minimum initial donation amount of $25,000 and may establish a restricted fund with a minimum initial donation of $10,000.

Parishes or schools may establish an endowment fund with a minimum initial donation of $2,500 but no annual distribution will be made until the fund receives donations amounting to at least $25,000. This structure ensures the endowment fund has a large enough principal for a meaningful annual distribution.

Note: Should a parish or school seek market exposure but not an endowment, please contact the Diocese of Charleston Finance Office ((843) 261-0468) to learn more about the D&L Account.

Fund Agreements

All funds are established and governed by a Fund Agreement, signed by the originating donor and the CCFSC, to effect the donor’s wishes as to beneficiary and purpose of the fund held at the CCFSC. After establishment, all funds allow for future donations to the funds from any donor in any amount desired.

Thank you for your interest in establishing a new fund!

We look forward to assisting you in stewarding your generous gift for longevity of the Catholic Church in South Carolina.
